Report Title: Overview of Rice Agronomy and Seed Industry Development in China
Speaker Introduction: Wan Kejiang, currently the Director of the Information and Publicity Department of the National Agricultural Technology Promotion Service Center, and a senior agronomist. In 2005, he graduated from the Crop Cultivation and Farming Department of the College of Agriculture and Biotechnology, China Agricultural University with a master's degree. He has been engaged in the promotion of cereal crop technology for a long time, especially in-depth research on rice production and technology promotion. He has participated in a large number of projects such as rice direct seeding without waterlogging, breeding and demonstration of super rice new varieties, tackling the increase in grain crop production, and integrated demonstration of precise rice cultivation techniques. He has received more than 10 awards at the provincial and ministerial levels, published more than 30 papers and books, and has been honored with titles such as National Advanced Individual in Grain Production and Advanced Individual in Disaster Prevention and Reduction.
"Research Progress in Agronomy and Seed Industry" is a first-year course for professional master's degree students in the College of Agriculture at Northwest A&F University. This course will invite domestic industry experts to introduce the development trends of agronomy and seed industry.
